“…I Still Love You. This can’t be goodbye…”
Zo! has done it again with his new studio album FourFront.
The Detroit native’s music caught my ears …and eyes, in 2013 with his ManMade album.
In 2017, I had the opportunity to attend a Chicago screening of Digife’s award-winning documentary Skybreak, which chronicled Zo!’s music and creative process to develop the respective album. It was passionate, familial and cultural.
Zo! also took the time to share the deeper perspective of his inspirations behind such an album and why his music is important to him; especially as an independent artist.
Just two weeks ago, he released an even greater work of art to his listeners with FourFront. I personally feel that he focused more on the topic of ‘love’ and a variation of music styles within this album. Featured collaborations from familiar voices include Eric Roberson, Sy Smith, Phonte’, Carmen Rogers, Stokley, Deborah Bond, and Madison McFerrin.

It’s upbeat and soothing.
